Q. 1.       Write a descriptive note on Environment Management System.

Answer:Environmental management system (EMS) refers to the management of an organization's environmental programs in a comprehensive, systematic, planned and documented manner. It includes the organizational structure, planning and resources for developing, implementing and maintaining policy for environmental protection.

More formally, EMS is "a system and database which integrates procedures and processes for training of personnel, monitoring, summarizing, and reporting of specialized environmental performance information to internal and external stakeholders of a firm."




Q. 2.       What are the pre-requisites for implementing ISO 9000 Quality Systems?

Answer:ISO 9001:2008 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). Answer:A principle is a fundamental truth or law and therefore quality management principles are the fundamental truth or laws that form the basis of quality management.

These principles have been identified to facilitate the achievement of quality objectives and form the foundation for effective quality management. The table below describes each of the principles as they are currently defined in ISO 9000:2005.
