Question. 1. Explain Liason Men and coordination (10 marks)

Answer: A liaison officer is a person who liaises between two organizations to communicate and coordinate their activities. Generally, liaison officers are used to achieve the best utilization of resources or employment of services of one organization by another. Liaison officers often provide technical or subject matter expertise of their parent organization. Usually an organization embeds a liaison officer into another organization to provide face-to-face coordination.



Question. 2. Give the benefits of admitting a partner (10 marks)

Answer: (1) A person who is a minor according to the law to which he is subject may not be a partner in a firm, but, with the consent of all the partners for the time being, he may be admitted to the benefits of partnership.

(2) Such minor has a right to such share of the property and of the profits of the firm as may be agreed upon, and he may have access to and inspect and copy any of the accounts of the firm.

(3) Such minor's share is liable for the acts




Question. 3. Discuss written and unwritten policies (10 marks)

Answer: Written Constitution:Written constitution is one which is found in one or more than one legal documents duly enacted in the form of laws. It is precise, definite and systematic. It is the result of the conscious and deliberate efforts of the people. It is framed by a representative body duly elected by the people at a particular period in history.

It is always promulgated on a specific date in history. The Constitution of India, for example, is a written constitution. It was framed by a representative Constituent Assembly and was promulgated on a definite date, i.e., 26th January 1950.




Question. 4. State and explain managerial responsibility (10 marks)

Answer: A Manager’s success in becoming one of the greatest managers ever depends understanding the managerial duties and responsibilities and ensure the key managerial activities are done well and done right. It is imperative for the Manager to have an in depth understanding of the Managerial duties and responsibilities in the scope of the Manager Job. Given the fact that every organization philosophy is not the same, the nature and kind of people are not the same, it is even more challenging to identify those key common activities of a manager’s role that hold credible in every organization.

Answer: These plans are made for handling non-recurring problems. Single-use plans are also referred to as ‘specific plans’ since these are meant to solve a particular problem. These plans are formulated to handle non-repetitive and unique problem. These plans cannot be used again and again; these become obsolete after achieving their purpose. The examples of these plans are: projects, budgets, programmes.

Answer: The process of planning is based upon estimates of future. Though past guides the plans in present, plans are made to achieve the goals in future. Therefore, forecast of future events leads to efficient plans. Since future events are not known accurately, assumption is made about these events. These events may be known conditions (changes in the tax laws as announced in the budget) or anticipated events which may or may not happen (entry of competitor in the same market with the same product).

Answer: Some of the techniques that are used to achieve effective coordination are given below:

1. Direct Contact: One of the most effective means of achieving coordination is direct contact. Written communication, modern electronic, mechanical devices, etc., can also be used.

2. Group Meetings: Group meetings are said to be an effective means of achieving coordination. At the time of meeting, superior comes into personal contact with those connected with the actual problems. Such meetings encourage the people to integrate their efforts. Coordination can be achieved through regular meetings of superiors and subordinates.
